The Office of Public Affairs & Communications (OPAC) requires all non-Yale media outlets to notify OPAC and receive permission when visiting campus. Depending on the purpose of the visit, OPAC may require non-Yale media members to be escorted around campus or display a Yale-issued media credential. Non-Yale media members may not enter a Yale building or gated courtyard without OPAC’s permission and escort.
Yale community members approached on campus by the media are encouraged to refer them to OPAC, which can accommodate their needs and, when appropriate, schedule and facilitate interviews with the Yale community. OPAC’s policies apply to all media professionals, including those who wish to record audio or pictures, regardless of whether the recording involves interviews with the Yale community.
