About Jorge Lanata

In 1987, at the age of 26, Lanata founded the newspaper Página/12, with an unprejudiced and provocative style, Lanata changed the way of doing journalism in Argentina. 

As a documentary filmmaker, he wrote and hosted DEUDA (2004) , BRIC (2010 for Turner / CNN) and 26 personas para salvar el Mundo (2011, also for Turner / CNN). 

Throughout his career, he interviewed Latin American presidents Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales, José Mujica, Tabaré Vázquez, Rafael Correa. 

Also internationally renowned personalities such as Caetano Veloso, Joan Manuel Serrat, Joaquín Sabina, Oliver Stone, Juanes, Eduardo Galeano and Mario Vargas Llosa among many others.

For the past four years, Lanata hosted PERIODISMO PARA TODOS a prime time tv show that aired every Sunday on Canal 13 of Buenos Aires, one of the leading signals of Argentina.
The show featured reports on corruption and political humor with unprecedented ratings for a journalistic show.

PPT revealed the most significant investigations on corruption during the Kirchner’s administration, amongst them the so called “Route of the K-Money”. 

Starting march of 2016 Lanata will return as radio host of LANATA SIN FILTRO the number one radio show in argentina for the fourth consecutive year, with over 50% of the share. 

For tv, he will be hosting weekly an entertainment Canadian format, in the search for the smartest argentine based on the theory of multiple intelligences, that will air also throughout channel 13.
