Vinson Cunningham

Vinson Cunningham joined The New Yorker as a staff writer in 2016, writing on books, art, visual culture, comedy, music, politics, and basketball. His work has also appeared in the New York Times Magazine, the New York Times Book Review, Vulture, The Awl, the Fader, and McSweeney’s, where he wrote a column called “Field Notes from Gentrified Places.” He’s lectured, conducted conversations, and served as a panelist at MoMA, Museum of the City of New York, The New Yorker Festival, The Bread Loaf School of English, and Soho Rep. Theatre.
