Machine learning, artificial intelligence, kidney, medical research, research methods
I use electronic health record data and advanced analytics to predict outcomes of patients both in- and out of the hospital. In addition, I have pioneered the use of real-time monitoring of medical record data to target interventions to patients before they begin to clinically worsen. I have expertise in the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence as well as traditional statistics as they apply to healthcare. I am also an expert in study design, and am internationally-recognized for my ability to explain complex study methods to a lay audience, highlighting where a study’s conclusion oversteps its data.
