Description:

My major areas of interest are related to craniofacial surgery and cosmetic surgery within plastic surgery. Craniofacial surgery, particularly the treatment of craniosynostosis, deals with congenital anomalies of children or developmental defects in children where one has a great opportunity to influence the quality of their life by treatment interventions. It is highly satisfying to intervene not only to improve their appearance, but also improve their ability to function adequately in life through optimizing the potential for normal brain, speech, and social interaction approaches. Cosmetic surgery, in general, will be a stronger influence in the lives of many in the United States over the coming years due to the improvements in efficiency and comfort, and minimally invasive procedures will allow patients to return to their normal lifestyles more quickly than in the past.
