Description: 

My research and teaching interests and experiences have primarily focused on three topics: 1) epidemiology and prevention of HIV/AIDS among people who inject drugs and other at-risk populations, 2) ethical issues in research, 3) violent conflict, displacement and population health. I have also been involved in research training and capacity building projects in several lower and middle-income countries.  My work has been primarily focused in the United States, China, Lebanon and Bhutan.
