Timothy Snyder’s primary interest is the history of anti-democratic movements and states, especially totalitarianism in Europe and contemporary authoritarianism in Europe and the United States. He is a renowned historian who specializes in the history of modern Europe, including totalitarianism, the Holocaust, and the Soviet Union. Snyder speaks six languages, and has written numerous books including his just released “Road to Unfreedom, Russia, Europe, America” and international best seller, “On Tyranny”.  Snyder appears frequently on national news networks and shows including CNN, MSNBC, CBS, The Bill Maher show, and The Daily Show.
