My research fields include health economics, development economics, labor economics, and applied econometrics. Specifically, my research focuses on the areas of fetal and early child development, aging and pension policy, climate change, social network interactions, and happiness and mental well-being.

Dr. Chen’s research focuses on economics and public policies on population aging, global health systems and the impact of environmental pollution and climate change on older adults.
