Poynter Fellowship in Journalism

The Poynter Fellowship in Journalism at Yale brings distinguished journalists and members of the media to campus to interact with students, faculty, and the public. The Fellowship aims to provide a cultivated look at topics of interest from all possible perspectives through lectures, panels, seminar discussions, and informal meetings.

Programming for the Poynter Fellowship in Journalism must adhere to the COVID-19-related university guidelines and policies outlined on the COVID-19 site. Depending on the host and fellow’s preferences, Poynter events may be in-person, virtual, or hybrid.

Hosts must carefully review and comply with Yale’s Visitors Policy and Events, Gatherings & Meetings Policy for in-person or hybrid events. All visitors are strongly encouraged to be up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations as recommended by the CDC and test for COVID-19 before participating in a university event. Visitors must refrain from coming to campus if they test positive for COVID-19 or experience symptoms suggestive of COVID-19.

These policies may evolve throughout the year, so we encourage you to check these pages frequently and consult your department’s Health and Safety Leader with any specific policy questions.
