About Antwaun Sargent

Antwaun Sargent is a cultural critic whose writing has appeared in New York Times, the New Yorker, GQ, Interview and many other publications. He guest edited the May/June 2020 “New Talent” issue of Art in America magazine.

Sargent has contributed essays to museum and gallery publications on preeminent 21st-century artists including Mickalene Thomas, Arthur Jafa, Meleko Mokgosi, Nick Cave, Yinka Shonibare, and Ed Clark. He is also a Curator and Director at Gagosian Galleries, where his 2022 exhibitions include artists Awol Erizku, Alexandria Smith, Alexandra Smith and Amanda Williams.
