About Caitlin Dickerson

Caitlin Dickerson is an award-winning reporter who covers immigration for The New York Times. Since joining The Times in 2016, she has broken major stories about the Trump administration’s family separation policy, arrests and deportations, asylum practices, and conditions inside migrant detention facilities, including those housing children. She is a frequent guest on The Daily podcast and contributes to The New York Times Magazine. Prior to joining The Times, she worked as an investigative reporter for NPR. Her work has earned a George Foster Peabody Award and an Edward R. Murrow Award, and she is a two-time finalist for the Livingston Award.
