Colin Crowell

As Vice President of Global Public Policy & Philanthropy, Colin oversees the company’s efforts to educate policymakers on Twitter’s services and policies and manages engagement on a host of technology issues around the world. In addition, Colin’s team works closely with government officials, agencies, political campaigns, and public interest groups to showcase the use of Twitter in government, elections, and for civic engagement.  His team also leads the company’s global philanthropic efforts through a program called @TwitterForGood.

Prior to joining Twitter, Colin was Senior Counselor to the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, serving as the Chairman’s strategic advisor on a wide range of policy matters. Earlier, Colin served more than 20 years as a telecommunications and Internet staffer to U.S. Senator Edward J. Markey (D-MA).

He is a graduate of Boston College with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Computer Science. He is @ColinCrowell on Twitter.
