About Dana Goldstein

Dana Goldstein is the author of The Teacher Wars: A History of America’s Most Embattled Profession, published by Doubleday, and a staff writer at The Marshall Project, a start-up newsroom covering criminal justice. Dana writes about education, social science, inequality, crime and punishment, women’s issues, cities, and public health. Her work appears in publications like The Atlantic and Slate. She received a Puffin fellowship from The Nation Institute, a Schwartz fellowship from the New America Foundation, and a Spencer Foundation fellowship in education journalism. She lives in Brooklyn.
