About David Brooks
David Brooks holds many positions in the world of journalism. He is the senior editor at The Weekly Standard, contributing editor at Newsweek, commentator on NPR, and a regular on NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. Brooks previously worked at The Wall Street Journal for nine years.
His posts include op-ed editor; European correspondent for the editorial page, responsible for covering Russia, the Middle East, South Africa, and European affairs; editor of the book review section, and movie critic. His articles have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times,Forbes, The Washington Post, and National Review.
Brooks is a 1983 graduate of the University of Chicago and has recently written a book, “Bobos in Paradise: The New Upper Class and How They Got There,” which is a social commentary on the bourgeois bohemians (Bobos).
