About Elisabeth Rosenthal

Elisabeth Rosenthal has been a reporter at the NY Times since 1992, where she is now assigned to the Presidential Campaign. She was one of the Times’ two reporters in Beijing from 1997 until earlier this year, where she won a number of prizes for her reporting on HIV-AIDS. Before that she covered health and medicine for the Times from New York, from 1990 to 1997.

Before joining the Times, she was a practicing physician at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Elisabeth Rosenthal is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Medical School.
