Eve Ensler

Eve is a Tony-award winning playwright, author of the Vagina Monologues, performer and activist. A survivor of violence, Eve has dedicated her life to ending violence against women and girls. In 1988, she started V-Day, a movement to stop violence against women and girls worldwide, and One Billion Rising, the largest global mass action to end gender-based violence in over 200 countries. She is also the co-founder of the City of Joy, a revolutionary center for women survivors of violence in the DRC.
