About Felicity Barringer

Felicity Barringer has been on the environment beat at The New York Times since 2003, exploring issues like the consequences of coal-fired power, western water shortages in an era of expanding droughts and California’s attack on climate change. In 1986, she joined The Times as a correspondent in Moscow, where she covered the Chernobyl disaster. Between her Moscow years and her current beat, she has edited or written for the Foreign, National, Business and Review sections.
