About Isaac Stanley-Becker ‘16

Since graduating Yale (where he was Yale Daily News editor-in-chief) in 2016, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford, Stanley-Becker has earned an DPhil (Balliol College; his dissertation: “Citizens’ Europe: Free Markets, Free Movement, and the Making of Schengen.” He has also done extensive reporting in seven countries, working first as an intern at the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and, in Washington, for the Wall Street Journal. Since 2017 he has been a reporter for the Washington Post in Germany and other European countries. He has covered local American news, Congress in Washington, developments in Europe, and, now, the U.S. presidential campaign.
