About Lowell Chun-Hoon

Lowell Chun-Hoon co-founded the Asian American Students Alliance at Yale. He co-authored a consequential proposal that led to the creation of the first Asian American Studies Master of Arts degree in the United States at UCLA. He also co-founded and served as the first editor for the AMERASIA journal. Amerasia Journal is the leading interdisciplinary journal in Asian American Studies. For his work as a labor lawyer and career advocate for Asian Americans in Hawaii, Lowell Chun-Hoon was awarded the prestigious 2013 Daniel K. Inouye Trailblazer award by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
