About Miranda Hitti

Miranda Hitti is a Senior Health Editor at WebMD. She assigns and edits features, working closely with WebMD’s news and blog teams. She also edits WebMD’s consumer-focused Health Insurance Navigator blog. Hitti joined WebMD in 2005 as a medical reporter, rising to senior medical reporter before becoming an editor in 2009. She’s covered breaking news stories including the H1N1 outbreak, new medical research, and contributed to special projects (topics included the risks of infertility treatments and breast cancer). Before joining WebMD, Hitti freelanced for various magazines, newspapers, and web sites. She began her career at CNN, where she worked in the main newsroom, on a world news program, and at the fledgling CNN Interactive. Hitti is a graduate of Duke University, where she majored in Cultural Anthropology and produced a news show at the campus TV station. She lives in Atlanta.
