Roger Simon is a nationally syndicated columnist who writes about culture and politics. He is currently the chief political correspondent for U.S. News and World Report. He has covered every presidential campaign since 1976, and is the winner of more than three dozen writing awards. He has been a columnist for the Chicago Sun Times and the Baltimore Sun. Roger Simon is the only person to twice win the American Society of Newspaper Editors’ Distinguished Writing Award for Commentary. He recently wrote “Divided We Stand: How Al Gore Beat George Bush and Lost the Presidency.”
