About Sonam Ongmo
Sonam Ongmo began her career as a journalist with “Kuensel”, Bhutan’s national newspaper. From 1997 she continued to write in issues effecting indigenous populations and the Himalayan community. With the development of social/citizen media, Sonam worked as Regional Editor for “Future Challenges”, was involved with “Global Voices,” and in 2012 launched a socio-political magazine in Bhutan called “The Raven.”
